Chartered on March 1st, 1997, the California Chi chapter of Sigma Phi Epsilon has been one of the crown jewel chapters of the national fraternity for well over twenty years.
California Chi has been awarded SigEp's highest chapter award, the coveted Buchanan Cup, ten times in its two decade history making it one of the most successful chapters in the country.
Academic excellence is in Cal Chi's lifeblood. The chapter has been in the top two in GPA performance at LMU for an entire decade. During that span, California Chi recorded the top GPA among fraternities for ten straight semesters. Over the last seven semesters, California Chi's members have averaged a cumulative GPA of 3.38 which outperforms the all campus male average of 3.22 for the same period.

Among are alumni ranks are former LMU Valedictorians, Student Government Presidents and Senators, Division I athletes, members of Phi Beta Kappa, club presidents, and leaders of service organizations. Our engaged and active alumni network is comprised of successful entrepreneurs, academics, influencers, legal minds, industry leaders, entertainers, community advocates, fathers and husbands.
Undergraduates and alumni alike, we are driven to live out our Cardinal Principles of Virtue, Diligence, and Brotherly Love. We are passionate about finding like minded men who believe in both a Sound Mind and Sound Body and are committed to conducting themselves as gentlemen, scholars, leaders, and athletes.
If you believe in these ideals, then we would like to meet you.
